Some Holiday Advice
Nobody wants to become ill whilst on holiday. Follow our recommendations, use your common sense and you will make the most of your stay.
- Drink plenty of water – we recommend between 1.5 and 3 litres a day. Of course this depends on the heat and your physical activity level.
- Drink bottled water.
- Avoid mixing different kinds of alcohol.
- Ensure the food you buy or prepare is fresh and well cooked - especially fish and shellfish.
- Ensure vegetables and fruit are fresh, peeled and rinsed in clean, boiled water.
- Remember - the sun is strong. Always use quality suntan lotion that is also waterproof and avoid sun-bathing in the midday heat when the sun is extra strong. Finally remember sun glasses and a hat.
- If you want to use the swimming pool, make sure it is being cleaned every day.
- In case of emergency immediately seek advice at the doctor’s surgery or pharmacy.
