The summer season is waning, while summer has brought many good news for those who love to holiday in and around Alanya.
Firstly, it is now clear that Tyrkieteksperten starts to fly from Denmark to Gazipasa airport from the start of 2012 season.
Secondly, it appears that the Alanya area in the next few years will have 2-3 new golf courses, where a project by Konakli should be very close to being a reality.
In addition there will be the first time in March a Danish magazine titled "Sunsearch – Alt om Alanya" on the street. It's supposed to be released in March, June and September 2012. The team behind Sunsearch.info and altomalanya.dk, there puttering with this.
Gazipasa Airport
In the last 5 years have constant rumor said that now comes the new airport. Explanations for why it doesn’t has been as many. Antalya wanted it not because they like so many Alanya guests continue to land at their airport. But probably more realistic because the security situation around Gazipasa first would be alright, where a pair of pointy mountain peaks said to have been one of the hurdles now cleared up. Just like runway length now meets the requirements for a number of larger aircraft.
Air Park is located approx. 40 km from Alanya city center, which for many will shorten the transfer time to and from the airport with approx. one hour in both directions.
The Swedish Tor Air with 4 weekly flights to Gazipasa from 1 April to 30 October 2012, and two extra flights a week during the summer holidays will be responsible for the operational for Danish Tyrkieteksperten.
The aircraft type is Boeing 737 with capacity for 148 passengers - just the largest aircraft that can land in Gazipasa Airport.
Golf holiday in Alanya
For many Scandinavian owners of apartments and houses in Alanya is probably also good news on the way, after some tough years with greatly reduced house prices. Two maybe three new golf courses are underway, which will attract a whole new audience to the area, and it will extend the season in both spring and autumn.
After supposedly one of the projects have one of Alanya's largest housing developers as prime mover and be ready in 2013.
