A small village consisting of seven people make a living out of their rare kind of coconuts- and cacao as well.Of course we will taste the local coconut and bring a couple back. We will cross the island and the boat will pick us op on the other side. Sailing slowly up the lake we will pass some tall cliffs dropping directly into the lake.We will take a break here before moving further on and find the perfect spot for the night.
Day 3 : The Elephant campTake a ride on the elephants and sail on a bamboo raft down the river. After breakfast we will use the kayaks to reach five small caves not far from the houseboat. Its possible to sail into them and if you are lucky you will see bats flying above. Back on the boat we will head north. After lunch we will be picked up by a longtailboat that will take us up river. At the Karen village the elephants will be waiting for the ride lasting about an hour. They will take you through unique jungle and end with a light lunch in the open, before we do the bamboo-rafting. You can try to steer the raft or just lean back and enjoy the scenery. During the monsoon this part of the tour is only for the adventurous as it takes a good balance in the roaring river.Back on the boat have a glass of wine to the sight of the sun setting behind the mountains. The locals sail out to put up their fishing nets. The starry sky feels very close to earth and you will get the chance to count shooting stars in the tropical night.
